Growing up at Johnson's Temple Church of the First Born, where her father was pastor and bishop until his death, she sang as a soloist, in groups, and in choirs. Before she turned eighteen, she had become Sunday School superintendent, national secretary, choir director, and one of the church's two pianists.
She was one of the founding members of the Milwaukee High School of the Arts Gospel Choir, and one of the lead vocalists and pianists for the Alcorn State University Gospel Choir.
During the 1990s she became a wife and mother, graduated from Mount Mary College with a B.S. in Business Administration, and became the Fine Arts Director of her church, New Life Fellowship, where Paul E. Bland was the pastor.
In 2001 her family followed God's leading to New Testament Church of Milwaukee, where Pastor Julius R. Malone was pastor. It was also at New Testament that Abby accepted God's call to ministry in 2005, one year after her husband acknowledged his ministry call.
In 2008, the Lord gave them a new assignment, and they once again heeded His call, joining Kingdom Business Community Church.
Through Speak Life Ministries, the vision the Lord gave her, Abby seeks to be an instrument of God's love for His people through the spoken Word, the written word, and the Word in song. She is registered with two Christian speaker networks, is a published author and contributing article writer for the Pakistan Christian Post and shelovesgod.com, and is an active vocalist who is working on a CD.
She lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with her husband and their two sons.
